A day long workshop at the beautiful Teto studio in Islington where we will spend the day crafting handbags. The perfect little bag for holding a phone, wallet and keys!
It will be created with a check weave base and there will be options of different weaves to form the body. We will create the handles using plaits or cordage, threaded through the bag body. All handbags will be woven around a cuboid shape mouId. I will supply several moulds in varying sizes but you are also welcome to bring your own if you are wanting to make a specific size bag. The maximum mould size that will be workable on the day is 10×20×25cm and it needs to be solid and water resistant (a well stuffed cardboard box, covered in parcel tape works well). If you want more details on sourcing your own mould, please drop me an email and I will be happy to help.
Every element will be taught step-by-step and all materials and tools will be provided.
10am - 5pm (with a 1hr lunch break) at Teto, 6 Shillingford St, London N1 2DP.
Tea will be provided and you are welcome to bring your own lunch or visit one of the many lovely cafes in the area :)
