RAW Interiors - Teapots

Created for the interior design studio of Rachel Aisling Walker in collaboration with the ceramicist Lisa Sjukur.

Each teapot is hand-made in London, reflecting a long history of clay and natural fibres being used in tandem. The ceramic body is wheel-thrown using high-iron stoneware before being glazed and reduction-fired.

Once fired, Ella creates a bespoke handle for each teapot, tailoring the shape to its form and scale. The handles are made from round cane drawn from the inner core of the rattan palm, first softened in water, then shaped by hand. More details can be found here.
