Loona Universe - The Sisters Handbag Collection
Each bag in this collection is crafted from British rush and has evolved through the making process. Each is shaped in collaboration with the material itself. By listening to the stems, Ella learns how they want to be worked, allowing her to honour their qualities.
Although each artwork is unique and able to stand alone, they have been created as a family - a collection that respects and reveres nature and its teachings.
The British cherry and ash handles are handmade by Moe Redish, who shapes each one by following the natural grain and flow of the wood. These are attached to the bags using botanically dyed silk by Kathryn Tomasetti (Botanical Weaves). Each dye is made from plants grown in her garden using traditional methods.
